The Arclight is a compact, solar-powered tool for eye and ear examinations in clinical and outreach settings. Developed through the Global Health Team at the University of St Andrews, Arclight replaces traditional, bulky equipment with an affordable, easy-to-use solution that integrates an ophthalmoscope, otoscope, and anterior segment loupe into one device. Its intuitive design is especially well-suited for low-resource environments, but it’s also gaining recognition in mainstream practice for its convenience, mobility, and educational value.
